Let's face it – in this society, the way you speak reflects your intelligence!
This might not seem very fair or very reasonable– but that's just the way it is.
It is an unpleasant fact that as soon as you open your mouth to speak, the people listening to you are making (sometimes harsh) value judgments about your level of education and self-esteem.
But unless you trained as a performing artist, your schooling never taught you how to use your number one communication tool i.e. your voice.
I should know. I am living testimony to how improving the way you speak (by improving the tone of your voice) can have dramatic progress in nearly every aspect of your life.
You may have a strong accent or a weak breathy sound or any of the many irregularities that can afflict an intelligent person's desire to communicate.
You might be able to cover up your lack of money (I can relate to that - I was a student too!) but you can't cover up your voice – we all have to speak nearly everyday of our lives.
And all speaking is public speaking. Yes, that's right. Every time you open your mouth to communicate, it sends a subliminal message about who you are.
Your voice is an audio fingerprint of your personality, your culture, and your confidence.
So if you are interested in improving yourself (and who isn't?) then improving your voice is a great start.
